The motivation to produce and buy recycled products has greatly increased in recent years, following the global movement towards sustainability. Available facilities for the recycling of domestic waste have expanded, allowing individuals to contribute to a cleaner, safer environment in their local area. There are also growing numbers of companies who use recycled materials to create products with a much smaller carbon footprint. It is important that we collectively contribute to the sustainability movement, through correctly recycling our waste, and supporting sustainability focussed companies. By continuing to support global brands with highly damaging carbon footprints, we are limiting the progress of these movements, and potentially damaging our local eco-conscious businesses.
